St. Eustatius (Statia) Group Dive Trip
NOVEMBER 6–13, 2027 · 16 DIVES · SCUBAQUA DIVE CENTER
Most Caribbean dive destinations have been discovered. The boats are crowded, the reefs are familiar, and the resorts know it. Statia is different. This eight-square-mile island has 36 moored dive sites, a 10.6-square-mile marine park, no high-rise hotels, and dive boats that are usually the only ones at the site. The reefs here look the way most of the Caribbean used to, and the island has made a point of keeping it that way.
🏝 For Non-Divers
Statia rewards anyone who wants to explore, so a non-diving companion has plenty to do:
- Hike the Quill, a dormant volcano with a rainforest crater and birds found nowhere else.
- Fort Oranje & Oranjestad, where the first official salute to the American flag flew in 1776, plus the island's history museum.
- Snorkeling and blue beads, the same protected marine park from shore, and 18th-century Dutch trading beads that still wash up on the beaches.
- Quiet beaches, spa treatments, and sunset drinks on Scubaqua's terrace.
