Southern California
Boat diving off the California coast, a wreck, and if you're up for it, two to three dives inside Catalina Island's Casino Point Marine Park. This trip runs two packages: a three-day Southern California boat diving trip with Marissa Charters, or a four-day trip that adds the Catalina Express and one of the most iconic marine park dives on the West Coast. All boat fees, tank fills, and nitrox are included. SDI specialty courses in Deep, Navigation, Wreck, and more are available on the water for divers who want to come home with additional certifications. Any certified diver can join.

Add a Certification: SDI Specialty Courses on This Trip
This trip is open to any certified diver, and if you want to come home with more than memories, we're offering four SDI specialty courses you can complete on the water. Sign up when you book your trip.
SDI Deep Diver Your Open Water card gets you to 60 feet. The SDI Deep Diver course opens up everything beyond that, dives to 130 feet, wall dives, wrecks, and the marine life that doesn't come into the shallows. You'll learn deep dive planning, nitrogen narcosis, air management, and how to stay within no-decompression limits. Any certified Open Water diver can enroll.
SDI Underwater Navigation Getting lost underwater costs air and creates stress. The SDI Underwater Navigation course builds your skills with both compass and natural navigation so you always know where you are and how to get back. Better navigation also means better buoyancy, better air consumption, and more relaxed dives. Open to any certified Open Water diver.
SDI Dry Suit Diver A drysuit changes how you manage buoyancy, how you stay warm, and how long you can extend your dive season. This course covers drysuit types, fit, valve management, buoyancy control, maintenance, and basic repairs, and puts you in the water to practice. If California's thermocline is on your radar, this is the course to take first. Open to any certified Open Water diver.
SDI Wreck Diving Specialty Wrecks are some of the most compelling dive sites in the world, and Southern California has plenty of them. The SDI Wreck Diver course covers the equipment and techniques used in wreck diving and with a wreck dive already built into the trip itinerary, you'll have the perfect opportunity to put that training to use the same day you earn it. Open to any certified Open Water diver.

Who This Trip Is For
Any certified diver. Whether you've got 10 dives or 500, Southern California and Catalina Island deliver. If you're working toward your SDI Advanced Diver certification, this trip is a smart place to knock out one or more specialties in real open water conditions, not a pool or a lake.
