Technical diving
Go deeper, stay longer, dive with a plan
Technical courses open up longer bottom times, deeper dives, and planned decompression. Start with Nitrox or Intro to Tech, then build from there with instructors who walk you through every step.
Not sure where to start with tech?
Technical diving is a step-by-step path. Each course builds on the one before it, and we help you pick the next one based on the diving you want to do.
Start with gas
Nitrox Diver is the usual first step. From there, Advanced Nitrox and the Gas Blender courses add richer mixes and the know-how to fill your own tanks.
Move into planned decompression
Intro to Tech and Decompression Procedures teach you to plan, run, and finish dives that include staged stops, with a team and a backup for every step.
Choose your gear style
Sidemount Diver puts your tanks at your sides. KISS Air Diluent CCR trains you on a closed-circuit rebreather. Both are covered in small classes with plenty of hands-on time.
Questions we hear a lot
Where should I begin?
Call or stop by the shop and tell us what you want to dive. We will point you to the right first course and map out the ones that follow.
Do I need Nitrox before the other courses?
Prerequisites vary by course and by agency standards. Give us a call and we will check your certifications and tell you exactly what comes next.
Is technical diving for everyone?
It takes a solid base of diving experience and a careful mindset. We would rather get you ready properly than rush you, so we take it one course at a time.
Do I need my own gear?
Rental gear is available for many courses, including sidemount and tech kits. Ask us what your course needs before you enroll.
